I'm a former fundamentalist Christian turned atheist (that story is told in a chapter of Ed Babinski's _Leaving the Fold: Testimonies of Former Fundamentalists, 1995, Prometheus Books). My college education was in computer science, philosophy, and cognitive science at Arizona State University (undergrad) and the University of Arizona (grad school). I'm founder and former executive director of the Phoenix Skeptics and former president of the Internet Infidels. I'm currently employed as the Director of Information Security Architecture and Engineering at Global Crossing, one of the Internet's tier-1 backbone providers and a supplier of voice, data, and collaboration services to many of the world's largest multinational companies. Global Crossing has a liberal blogging policy which encourages its employees to blog.
