Hollywood outsourcing jobs overseas

George Lucas, the man behind Star Wars and Indiana Jones, has teamed up with Singapore to set up his first animation studio and production house outside the United States, government and corporate officials said Tuesday.


Economic Development Board chairman Teo Ming Kian said Singapore had wooed Lucasfilm and saw it as a golden opportunity as the city-state shifts from a largely manufacturing base to a regional center for the arts and media.
