Woah, comments work again.
Woah, comments work again.
I have to say, though, that Wordpress' comments display is kinda fugly. But, we have better tools vs. spammers, so bonus.
Hmm, I just noticed that the comments box extends into and under the sidebar. Weird.
The display can be changed.
The display can be changed. Who are you, anyway?
Hmm, I just noticed that the
I'm not seeing that. The trackback URI at the top extends out of the main bar because it's so long, but that's it.

I havent noticed where you
I havent noticed where you can click on the name of the person and send them an email, so I don't know if the correct spelling of the email address means anything at the moment.
And how exactly to the
And how exactly to the author archives work? I clicked on mine and only a few posts popped up. Does it only go searching back a week?
Smiley's suck. All you
Smiley's suck. All you people need to get real about reality and make your life conform to your highest values. Smiley faces are shit.

The author links in the
The author links in the sidebar, which are supposed to link to an author archive, are only showing posts from the last 7 days, the default for the front page, rather than a complete author archive. I have no idea why. :wall:
WordPress does not display user e-mails, thereby preventing us from collaborating with spammers by providing a rich e-mail address harvesting environment, you dig? If the commentator puts in a URL that will be linked to their name.
A-hcha, gotcha. Thus always
A-hcha, gotcha.
Thus always to Spammers. :behead:
Is there an equivalent of the CAPTCHA turing test for WP?
Dunno. There is comment
Dunno. There is comment moderation, which will automatically hold for moderation any post with more than 5 links, or containing any of a list of spam words. Check in the WP interface for details under "Options > Discussion"
How do we see posts that are
How do we see posts that are in draft mode? One of BilLee's posts was set to "publish" in the move. I went to put it back to "draft" and now it has disappeared- I fear that I may have deleted it, by accident (though I hit "save" after putting the button on "draft"). :dunce:
No, you did not delete it.
No, you did not delete it. Only the author can see his/her draft posts.
That "Recent Comments"
That "Recent Comments" sidebar is cool...
And the fact that the blog keeps track of what I have and haven't read.
Glad you like that, Mark!
Glad you like that, Mark! The developer community around WordPress is very active, and lots of folks have written loads of great plugins.
How do I get my name and
How do I get my name and e-mail address to be pre-filled on the comment entry form?
It did work, then failed.
Thanks, Don
I now see that the format
I now see that the format has dropped back to TEXT, although my comment form is now pre-filled again.

I don't know what to tell you, Don, I've not seen this behavior.
Qiwi, I reset the graphics
Qiwi,
I reset the graphics mode again, and, at least for the moment, I have both grahics and pre-fill of the comment form.
Thanks, Don
Mark, Did you get my email
Mark,
Did you get my email from two days ago?
I got the email, Jonathan.
I got the email, Jonathan. Did you get the reply? Go ahead and post it as I sent it to you--I will be taking a few days off, but I'll try to get online at least once a day to defend it!
I didn't get the reply, but
I didn't get the reply, but our webhost has been acting funny recently, so it might have gotten lose. I'll post it tomorrow morning.
The reply only said that I
The reply only said that I also realized that vampires could cause trouble for my objective morality, but I'll wait to see if it comes up in the comments.
Nicely done, Qiwi. Very
Nicely done, Qiwi. Very cool.:beatnik:
Indifference to objective
Indifference to objective morality means indifference to objective aesthetics, I see. Those little cartoon ball things suck.:stupid::lol::mad::wall::deal::furious::furious::furious::end:

I agree. See this.
I agree. See this. Emoticons are not congruent with man's highest values and reality. Reality is real, and thus, emoticons are shit.

A little oddity, I posted a couple comments to Micha's last post and only see the first one. Also, the sidebar shows that Micha posted a couple of comments that I don't see. :???:
