Comments: USC's loss to lowly Berkeley (er, Cal) has sent them reeling, barely holding on to a Top 25 spot. I suppose incorporating 'shame' into the ranking is an emergent property of the poll, at least in USC's case. Iowa dropped from the ranks of the unbeaten by a surging Michigan State (who should enter the Top 25 any week now). Essentially tied, Oklahoma and Ohio State swap places this week based entirely on their conference mate's play. Kansas State continues to fall, since they haven't played a redemption game yet. Texas continues to rise again, knocking on the door of the Top 10 after a brief flirtation with #4. The poll shows no love to Tennessee's squeaker over South Carolina, as both Virginia Tech and Florida State jump the Vols to round out the Top 5.
